Full Frame!

The Morning of the first day of the festival, we went to the Festival base where I got my pretty cool Filmmaker pack:
I got a badge (free pass to any film), invitations for all the parties, an album of Arcade Fire (they're from Montreal but their label is in Durham), a Festival Mug, the festival catalog, some funnny magnets, etc.
Then, we went to grab some food and it was already time for the screening of my film!
There, I got the honour to meet Albert Maysles in person!
His film "Sally Gross, the pleasure of stilness" (directed with Kirsten Nutile) was showing after mine so were together waiting for the screenings and we then answered a Q&A together. Of course, he attracted most of the questions but it was an honour to be onstage with him.

Left to right:
Kirsten Nutile, Albert Maysles, Nancy Buirski (founder of the festival) and me!

I really liked the room where the film was shown and it was a wonderful feeling to watch our film on a big screen and in such a beautiful room.
A lot of emotion.

The room where happened the "OF SHADOWS AND MEN" World Premiere:

Quite a few people came to see me after the screening to tell me they liked the film, and it really felt good to know people enjoyed it.

After the screening, we wanted to have a drink and enjoy the sudden hype and excitement but it was raining and all the bars around were full. Horror. We spent over 20 minutes looking for a cold beer to celebrate...

Every evenings, there were some really fantastic parties with great food and free drinks...
One night, the party was held inside of the gorgeous Nasher Museum of Art and the food was really luxuous too. A great night!
